In Claude apps, skills live in your account, not in a folder on your computer.

Install a skill
Use the Claude apps tab on any skill's page here: it has the steps, and its commands use the commit we checked.
Watch out for
- Skills are uploaded to your account as a ZIP whose top-level folder is the skill, named exactly as its name field.
- Anthropic’s Claude Code docs say an upload fails on any frontmatter key outside the six Agent Skills fields; its help centre also lists a dependencies field.
- Code execution must be on: Settings > Capabilities on Free, Pro and Max, or Organization settings > Plugins & skills on Team and Enterprise.
- Skills you upload stay private to you until you share them.
- Skills enabled on your account also load in Claude Code when it is signed in to the same account (version 2.1.273 or later).
