Install a skill
- Copy the skill's folder, with its SKILL.md at the top, into
.kiro/skills/in your project, or into~/.kiro/skills/for all your projects. - Keep the folder named exactly as the name field in its SKILL.md, as the Agent Skills spec asks.
Watch out for
- Its docs list only .kiro/skills, not the shared .agents/skills folder.
- Global skills work in the Kiro IDE and CLI, not on web or mobile.
- In the IDE, Agent Steering & Skills > + > Import a skill takes a GitHub URL to the skill folder.
- A workspace skill wins over a global skill with the same name.
