Credits
Credits are the currency for AI operations on QAI. Every AI query, report generation, and analysis consumes credits based on the AI model tier used and the number of tokens processed (input + output).
Each plan includes a monthly credit allocation that resets at the start of each billing cycle. Budget-tier models consume fewer credits per token, while premium and reasoning-tier models consume more. Your plan determines which model tiers are available.
Credit lifecycle
- Monthly allocation — credits are granted at the start of each billing cycle and reset on renewal.
- Usage — credits are deducted per AI operation based on the model tier and tokens consumed.
- Overage — paid plans allow usage beyond the allocation. Overage is billed at a per-credit rate at cycle end.
- Credit packs — purchase additional credits anytime. They never expire and are shared across your organization.
Overage
Free plan users are blocked when credits are exhausted. Paid plans allow overage usage, which is billed at the end of the billing cycle.

Per-seat pricing
Business and Max plans are priced per seat. Each seat receives the full monthly credit allocation. Per-seat quotas are enforced so no single team member can exhaust the organization's entire allocation.
Billing
Plans can be billed monthly or yearly. Yearly plans offer a discount. You can upgrade or downgrade once per billing period from the billing settings page.
- Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing.
- Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
- Payment is processed through Stripe. Manage your payment method and invoices from the billing portal.

What happens when I run out of credits?
